Asier Suberbiolahas dedicated the last 20 years to travel the path from Classical Music to Improvisation, Jazz and Rock. He has a Bachelor Degree in Music - Violin and after obtaining the Postgraduate in Composition and Contemporary Technologies in Barcelona he traveled to the United States to learn Jazz Violin with Christian Howes.
He founded aupaQUARTET in 2009, a crossover string project dedicated to enrich the music with the multi-style composition, the freedom of the improvisation and the pleassure of sharing through pedagogy. During the last 20 years he has played live and recorded with Gregory Porter, Rosalía, Ara Malikian, Kiko Veneno, Phil Woods, Antony and the Johnsons, Olafur Arnalds, Sara Baras and Mikel Erentxun among others. He passionate about teaching and has a Bachelor Degree in Pedagogy (University of the Basque Country)and offers Masterclass in Improvisation and Study Techniques to teachers and students in Conservatories and Music Schools in many countries.
